In 2011, Usana Essentials was tested by ConsumerLab.com, which reviewed 38 leading multivitamin/multimineral products in sold in America and Canada. Various factors were considered in the test, which Usana passed, including compliance with U.S. Pharmacopeia guidelines on solubility, lead contamination threshold based on California Proposition 65 , U.S. Food and Drug Administration labeling guidelines, and certain index elements.
