A preparation made from D dilutions of dangerous materials like botulism, E-coli, thymus gland of unspecified origin, pneumonia, pseudomona, proteus, salmonella, scarlet fever, staph, strep and tuberculosis bacteria. Two implications follow: 1) the same diagnosis (eg, headaches) in two patients may need to be treated with different homeopathic remedies because the totality of the symptoms differs for the patients, and 2) multiple diagnoses (headaches and an autoimmune disease) within the same patient may be treated with one remedy if a remedy can be found which matches the totality of the patient’s symptoms.

Unfortunately, as with aspirin, when a substance is used in material structure (as opposed to homeopathic dilution) it frequently causes side effects. In the practice of Homeopathic Medicine, a detailed, comprehensive interview of the patient, called the homeopathic case-taking, is undertaken to reveal the physical, psychological and emotional characteristics and complaints of that individual. Licensing varies greatly by state, but currently only three states offer licensing for homeopathic physicians.
